With the working theme ‘Sustainability Starts with Me,’ the tree-planting initiative aims to plant a million trees within the premises of Tagaytay Highlands by the year 2040. According to Belle Corporation President and CEO Manuel A. Gana, the program has already planted about half a million trees. “Together, we can reach that goal and help preserve our nature,” he said.

Senior Vice President-Real Estate Business Unit Head Lennie A. Mendoza reminded all participants of the importance of sustainability efforts in conducting business. Meanwhile, Club President Jerry Tiu said tree-planting is always an important activity. “This is an opportunity for all of us to take a few hours of break from our usually hectic work schedule to come up here and help further nurture our nature.”

The Club’s General Manager, Claire Kramer sees the program as a project that “perpetuates our legacy to the environment.” “It renews our collective commitment to help keep our Mother Nature alive and happy. We vow to take care of these new trees and look forward to more trees that will be planted in the coming years, until we reach our targets,” she said.
