Tagaytay Highlands envisions a secure and sustainable future for generations to come. Spanning 1,290 hectares of rolling terrain, Tagaytay Highlands is a unique mountain resort, distinguished by its rich biodiversity, year-round cool climate, and breathtaking views of Taal Lake, Mt. Makiling, Canlubang Valley, and Laguna de Bay.
Tagaytay Highlands is celebrated as one of the most environmentally friendly and sustainable leisure estates in the Philippines. Its dedication to environmental conservation has earned it the prestigious “Friend of Biodiversity” recognition from the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity.
Our commitment to sustainability is reflected in our adherence to strict resource management mandates. All structures are designed for resilience, minimizing the impact of environmental risks. Nearly half of the developable areas are dedicated to wellness and accessibility features, such as walking paths and access ramps for differently-abled individuals. Residential developments include spacious lawns and pocket parks, providing ample space for outdoor activities for individuals and families alike.
To promote and protect biodiversity, we use native and low-maintenance plants and trees throughout the resort, including the greens and fairways of our championship golf courses. Our landscape design incorporates these sustainable measures, and we actively support environmental protection through an annual tree-planting program, aiming to plant one million trees by 2044. To date, over 490,000 trees have been planted within the Tagaytay Highlands Complex.
Tagaytay Highlands employs various conservation efforts to ensure sustainable resource use. We routinely monitor water levels against projected demand and optimize water use across the golf course, common areas, and establishments. New residential projects feature retention/detention ponds and rain gardens as part of their landscape. Energy conservation is also prioritized through the use of LED bulbs and the provision of PWD-friendly amenities.
To maintain clean water and reliable electricity supply, as well as steady internet connectivity, we conduct periodic preventive maintenance of wells and attendant pipes. Our waste management systems effectively divert residual waste from landfills through composting and recycling programs.
We encourage residents to adopt sustainable and healthy lifestyles by providing access to fresh produce and greens at Pick and Pay, Tagaytay Highlands’ organic farm. Our ongoing “One Tree at a Time” initiative further emphasizes our commitment to environmental stewardship.
Tagaytay Highlands’ unwavering dedication to sustainability, safety, and security is exemplified by the recent “Safety Seal” awarded by the City Government of Tagaytay. This recognition underscores our commitment to creating a safe, secure, and sustainable community for all residents and visitors.
