What is the Tagaytay Highlands Adopt-A-Tree Program?

The Adopt-A-Tree Program is an initiative by Tagaytay Highlands Club in partnership with the SM Foundation, launched in March 2023. It encourages individuals, property owners, corporations, and schools to contribute to environmental sustainability by adopting a tree.

What is the goal of this program?

The program aims to promote reforestation, raise awareness about the importance of trees, and support the education of deserving children of Club employees and caddies.

Adopting a Tree
How can I adopt a tree?

Simply fill out the online form to express your interest. A donation worth Php5,000 includes the tree sampling, contribution to the scholarship, Certificate of Adoption and a tree marker bearing your name.

What kind of tree will be planted?
Will the tree be planted in my property?

The trees will be planted in designated areas within Tagaytay Highlands to contribute to the overall reforestation efforts and landscape.

Can I choose where my adopted tree is planted?

While the specific planting location is determined by the program organizers to ensure optimal growth and environmental impact, the tree will be dedicated in your name.

Can I personalize the marker?

The inscription on the stone marker is typically limited to the name of the donor or the name you wish to dedicate the tree to. Specific guidelines will be provided during the adoption process.

Can I adopt more than one tree?

Yes, you are welcome to adopt multiple trees to further support this initiative.

Can I adopt a tree as a gift for someone else?

Yes, you can adopt a tree in the name of a family member, friend, or colleague. You will provide their name for the tree marker during the adoption process.

Supporting Education
How does my donation support students?

A significant portion of the Php5,000 donation goes to the SM Foundation’s Scholarship Program, which provides educational assistance to deserving children of caddies and club employees.

Will I receive updates on the scholar my tree is supporting?

While we may not provide individual updates on a specific scholar linked to your tree due to privacy considerations, we will share general updates on the impact of the scholarship program.

Participation and Updates
How will I know my tree has been planted?

We will send out communications to donors to inform them about planting schedules and when the tree markers are in place.

Will I receive updates on the growth of the trees?

Tagaytay Highlands is committed to the long-term success of the reforestation project, and we may share updates on the overall progress of the initiative periodically.
