Concha’s Garden Café Opens at the Sports Center Veranda

Tagaytay Highlands is now home to the fourth location of Concha’s Garden Café, a growing restaurant chain that serves classic and well-loved Filipino dishes. The new restaurant formally opened its doors to Club members and guests through a grand opening ceremony that was held on June 1, 2019.

Serving mainly Filipino dishes with a slew of international cuisines, Concha’s  Garden Cafe was the brainchild of Gemma Sembrano. Back then, it has always been her dream to open up her own cafe. Growing up with her grandmother, the eponymous Concha (her grandmother’s maiden name) taught her the ways of the kitchen. Resultantly, she inherited her grandmother’s passion for cooking and making food. The very first Concha’s Garden Cafe opened just in the year of 2014 and is now a recognizable restaurant in its own right.

Concha’s Garden

Today, Concha’s Garden has several chain restaurants across the National Capital regions with each boasting recipes that are full of body, flavor, and heart. Today, Concha’s Garden is one of the restaurant chains featured in the Highlands and Midlands Golf Club. With the opening of the fourth location of Concha’s Garden, the Sports Center Veranda has regained its allure as a favorite for families who love spending quality time over best-tasting comfort food.

Concha’s Garden

The opening of Concha’s Garden Café at the Club is welcome news for members and guests, who used to go to the restaurant’s Silang or Cliffhouse locations whenever they come home to Tagaytay Highlands. All the dishes they love at the restaurant’s menu can now be enjoyed at the Sports Center—from the famous Laoya to the all-time classics like Caldereta, Crispy Pata, Lechon Kawali, and more.

“I am sure that Concha’s is home and will be here at Tagaytay Highlands for many years to come,” said TV and movie actor Alden Richards, who co-owns the restaurant with business partners Gemma and Joseph Ray Sembrano during the simple ribbon-cutting ceremony.

With Concha’s Garden as an addition to Tagaytay Highlands, the place is sure to have that touch and taste that is reminiscent of Filipino gatherings, get-togethers, and Sunday brunches with family.
